Creciendo en una granja de caballos de trabajo en Pensilvania, fui una de ocho hijos y pasé mi infancia rodeada de animales: caballos, ovejas, cerdos, pollos, perros y gatos. Tengo un recuerdo especial de estar sentada frente al televisor en 1973, viendo a Secretariat ganar el Derby de Kentucky. Continuó ganando la Triple Corona, estableciendo récords que aún se mantienen hoy. El gran corazón y el espíritu competitivo de Secretariat fueron las motivaciones detrás de nombrar a nuestra empresa Ariat.
Ariat fue fundada como 'La Nueva Raza de Bota'. Fuimos los primeros en integrar tecnología de calzado deportivo en botas para atletas ecuestres.
